Welcome to the Turbulence Mechanics and CFD Research Group Web. The group is part of the
School of Mechanical Aerospace and Civil Engineering at the
University of Manchester. Our research interests encompass both experimental and computational studies of turbulence, its modelling in engineering flows, and a wide range of application areas.
Staff and students in the group can be found on the
People page, whilst further details of our work, in the form of journal and conference publications and theses and dissertations, can be accessed via the
Research page. Details of current
vacancies and studentships are also available.
Forthcoming seminars, conferences and other meetings can be found on the
Events or
Calendar pages, whilst other useful sites (both local and elsewhere) can be found on the
Links page.
For those visiting the group, we are based in the George Begg building, located at number 17 on the
campus map. Further maps and travel directions can be found on the
University of Manchester site.
