This is intended as a quick guide and a list of the most common links, specifically those I have used myself (so kind of an aide-memoire)..

The current stable release of Code\_Saturne is Version 2.0.4. Version 2.1.3 has recently been released as an intermediate – partially validated version. As of January 2012, I would still recommend using the V2.0.4, though we will certainly be making the switch in the short-term future.

General Overview

Download of Code libraries

  • A list of current stable and intermediate releases can be found here
    • Stable versions with full Quality Assurance are released every 2 years; 2.0, 3.0…
    • Intermediate versions (partially validated) are released every 6 months; 2.1, 2.2…
    • Corrective versions are released when necessary; 2.0.1, 2.0.2, …

  • It should be possible (On LINUX Platforms) to use the Install script to automatically download and install the libraries themselves (provided that you have internet access when you install). So for V2.0.4 you need only download the installer script located here .

  • If you are installing on mac os there are a few modifications required as explained in Juan’s post here. The modified install script and set up files are included for Snow Leopard installation, which work fine. I have yet to try with Lion.

Documentation for version 2.0 (current stable release)

The original (and maintained) list of these files; including the equivalent for the intermediate release 2.1 is available here.

Other Information

Of course far more information can be found within the pages of the Code_Saturne Wiki pages themselves
